Paint the Beauty of the Bahamas: Enjoy eight days, seven nights to paint unspoiled beaches, azure sea, palm trees, boats, quaint paths, and pastel houses. This workshop is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the camaraderie of artists that love nature's beauty, painting, and artistic adventures. Elbow Cay is a no-car island, so all parts of the island can be walked and enjoyed (or accessed by golf carts). The beaches are very quiet and picturesque with sweeping views of the tropical sea. The island is just off the coast of West Palm Beach, FL as part of the Abacos Islands, in the north section of the Bahamas. Hope Town (18th century village) is where we will paint and is nestled on the 6 miles long and one quarter of a mile wide island. In the harbor there is the Hope Town lighthouse, built in 1863, and an icon for the Bahamas.

Location/Lodging: Elbow Cay, Bahamas. Lodging will be in varied houses/cottages. Each room is different depending on the house. Closest airport is Marsh Harbor International Airport (MHH).

About Your Instructor: Christine Lashley earned her BFA at Washington University, St. Louis. She has taught on-location workshops and art classes for 15 years, and paints in oil and watercolor. Christine’s award-winning paintings have been shown nationally and internationally. With numerous works in private and corporate collections, her work has also been featured in: American Artist Magazine, Elan Magazine, The Washington Post, and North Light Publications.
